Culinary Delight
At The Citizen bar and dining room we have aimed to replicate this unity between past, present and future in our food and drinks offering. We’ve installed Glasgow’s favourite lager, Tennent’s and will be the first location in Scotland that it can be drunk brewery fresh from our Tank Beer system. All our food will be made fresh on premises with local produce used wherever possible and cocktails will be served by Glasgow’s finest mixologists.

The History of The Citizen
Founded in 1842 by James Hedderwick, The Citizen was one of the first newspapers in Glasgow. In 1889, their new offices were opened in St Vincent Place in Scotland’s first red sandstone building. By 1864, it had become so successful that an evening edition was founded – one of the first three evening newspapers to be printed, published and sold in the Glasgow area. Are you a former employee?
